I purchased this hoping it’d provide me with extra protection for my Kindle 2 while it’s in the Amazon leather binder/cover. There are indeed cutouts for it on this skin, but unfortunately the skin adds just a little bit too much thickness to the Kindle2 to allow a good fit. You could force it if you were really determined, but it just wouldn’t be the same fit. That being said, the skin fits great and appears to be of good quality. Definitely worth the 10 bucks.
My favorite part of the whole deal is the free screen protector! Not only is it a perfect fit, but it’s like magic the way it makes the screen looks so much more crisp and clean! My screen now looks twice as good as it did before, which is wonderful. I’ve set the skin on a shelf for possible use some time in the future, because it does appear to be of quality workmanship.
5 Stars Excellent protection for outdoor use
Love the semi-clear silicone skin, however I have to remove it to continue to use my leather case – though the skin takes into account the holes needed for the case, it adds too much thickness. I don’t blame the skin however and am very happy with it. If I’m going to the beach or somewhere the leather cover doesn’t appropriately protect the kindle I use the silicon skin. I also like the screen protector and purchased this bundle, because it was actually cheaper than any single screen protector I could find, and it fits perfectly. The screen protector does make the screen slightly reflective, but easy enough to deal with by changing the angle I’m viewing.
1 Star Horrible accessory for the Kindle 2
This product is terrible. The screen protector is impossible to place and its’ adhesive is too strong. It took me 1 1/2 hrs to get it off and that was using my drivers license. Thankfully I do not ruin the Kindle’s screen.
As far as the silicon skin is concerned; it is too thick to be used along with Amazon’s case for the Kindle 2. In my mind this makes it useless. This was to be added protection along with the cover. Who wants to keep taking it out of the cover to place the skin on it. Then take the skin off to place it back into the cover. It is easier to fold the leather cover back and leave it in there.

Good quality, fast shipping… and I really like this cover since it’s semi-transparent – I can see the menu/back/next page..etc buttons very clearly. Must have item!
4 Stars Silicone Skin is a Keeper
The silicone skin that I purchased is the Semi Transparent variety for the Kindle 2. It fits like a glove and has a nice matte type texture to it. Comes on a off very easily of you need it to. Definitely the right product for me.
The Screen Protector on the other hand was a bust for me. I could not get it to fit properly and no matter how hard I worked I just could not get all the bubbles out of it, despite have tried 10 or so times. When I used it I found it to be too glossy and reflective anyway, so I just took it off. It was free, so I just considered it a bonus. I do keep the little microfiber cleaner they sent in my Kindle sleeve to wipe down the screen from time to time.
